The Muskoka Maple initiative is a joint initiative between the Huntsville / Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce and Muskoka Tourism.
The initiative is spearheaded by a committee of dedicated volunteers. The committee consists of a diverse cross section of local talent that shares a common love for pure maple syrup. There are marketers, restauranteurs, cafe owners, stakeholder groups, and maple producers.
The Muskoka Maple initiative has two major components, the Muskoka Maple Trail and the Muskoka Maple Festival.
a) Muskoka Maple Trail is the most Canadian of culinary trails, featuring stops across Muskoka that have infused locally harvested maple syrup into their culinary offerings. From maple drizzled waffles to smokey-maple ribs, maple craft beer to maple gelato, discover the incredible depth of Canada’s most beloved natural product on the Muskoka Maple Trail. The 2019 dates are March 8 – April 26, 2019.
b) Muskoka Maple Festival is a family-friendly event in downtown Huntsville, celebrating the culmination of the maple harvest in Muskoka. The day is filled with fun and activities, vendors and displays, live music, street performers and, most importantly – so much delicious food! Come hungry and join this spring’s sweetest party – the Muskoka Maple Festival! The 2019 Muskoka Maple Festival will be taking place April 27, 2019.
